This is one of our most basic bushcraft courses, excellent for beginners!
By the end of 2 nights and days outdoors you will be able to
· use a knife and saw efficiently and safely
· build a ‘leaf and debris’ shelter
· understand the basic principles of fire lighting and fuel collection
· light a fire with sparks and/or a friction fire method such as a bow drill
· cook over your own fire
· understand how to find water and make it safe
This course teaches you the basics of bushcraft in a survival context. It
allows you to leave feeling confident that you could survive outdoors
and make yourself comfortable with the minimum of equipment, relying upon
natural resources wherever possible
Contrary to popular belief, it is not usually essential to find food sources for
short term survival, and this subject is covered in detail on later courses.
On this course, the basics are covered…shelter, fire, water, psychology
This course is easily adapted to youth groups and family bushcraft weekends
All food is provided for the duration of the course...you will learn if you are well
fed!
Accommodation is in a tent the first night, and the second night? As you make
it…
