1. Agreement
Agreement of these terms and conditions arise upon the receipt by Yellow Wood Bushcraft of a properly completed booking form accompanied by the payment or deposit.
Yellow Wood Bushcraft reserves the right, in its absolute discretion and without the need to give reasons, to refuse to accept a booking. In such circumstances any payment accompanying the booking form will be returned in full.
The agreement is between Yellow Wood Bushcraft and the client(s) and is the sole agreement between those parties. No variation of these terms & conditions shall be applicable unless agreed in writing by Yellow Wood Bushcraft. The person signing the booking form shall be deemed to sign that form for his / herself or as agent, parent or guardian for the person named on the form.
The agreement is governed by English law.
2. Payment
The deposit is non refundable, subject to clause 1.
The balance of the fee as shown on the booking form must be paid in full no later than 6 weeks before the course commences. If not paid, Yellow Wood Bushcraft reserves the right to treat the agreement as cancelled by the client(s) in accordance with clause 4 below.
3. Prices
Whilst every effort is made to limit prices to those given at the time of booking, Yellow Wood Bushcraft reserves the right to alter prices should its costs in hosting a course increase.
In the event that a price is altered the client(s) will be notified as soon as reasonably possible and may opt to cancel the booking which will entitle them to a full refund of all monies paid.
4. Cancellation by client(s)
If the booking is cancelled by the client(s) (unless subject to clause 3) the following cancellation charge will arise:
Cancellation more than 6 weeks before the course - no fee payable (deposit non-refundable)
Cancellation 3 - 6 weeks before course 50% of course fee payable
Cancellation less than 3 weeks before the course 100% of course fee payable
And the client acknowledges that it is reasonable for such charges to be made given the need for Yellow Wood Bushcraft to make preparations for a course some time in advance.
5. Variation of a course by Yellow Wood Bushcraft
A Yellow Wood Bushcraft course is, by its very nature, exposed to natural variables, including the weather. Whilst every reasonable effort is made to deal with such variables there may be occasions when Yellow Wood Bushcraft, through no fault of its own, is forced to vary or modify a course itinerary at short notice, or decides to do so in order to take advantage of natural circumstances. The client acknowledges that information about courses provided by Yellow Wood Bushcraft is given in the best of faith but that because of the variability of nature it may be reasonable to alter or modify a course and that in such circumstances it is not reasonable for Yellow Wood Bushcraft to be liable for any losses consequential on such a change and that Yellow Wood Bushcraft's liability is limited accordingly.
6. Conduct of a course
The client acknowledges that during a Yellow Wood Bushcraft course he / she is required to follow the reasonable instructions and leadership of Yellow Wood Bushcraft. Any adults accompanying children on courses must maintain control of those children to the satisfaction of Yellow Wood Bushcraft. Good conduct is expected from all clients and instructors at all times. In the event of (and without limitation) disorderly or abusive conduct; intoxication; failure to control children; inadequacy of clothing or equipment; incapacity or inability to meet the rigours of the course, Yellow Wood Bushcraft has the right without question to arrange for the persons involved to be removed from a course. In such circumstances the client/s will not be entitled to a refund of monies and Yellow Wood Bushcraft will not be liable for any resulting losses. In addition, the client/s may be required to reimburse Yellow Wood Bushcraft its reasonable costs of effecting his / her removal.
7. Liability
Yellow Wood Bushcraft courses take place in the open countryside and are by their very nature are not absolutely free from hazard. Yellow Wood Bushcraft makes every effort to minimise risk to clients and instructs clients in health and safety, however some risk will inevitably still remain. As such the client acknowledges that he / she is taking part in a Yellow Wood Bushcraft course at his / her own risk.
Yellow Wood Bushcraft only accepts liability for injury to a client as a result of negligence on the part of Yellow Wood Bushcraft.
The client accepts that any loss outside negligence of Yellow Wood Bushcraft such as (without limitation) loss of money, loss or damage to clothes and possessions and losses arising from the cancellation of a booking are not the responsibility of Yellow Wood Bushcraft and that Yellow Wood Bushcraft’s liability is hereby limited.
8. Insurance
Yellow Wood Bushcraft is insured as an Outdoor Activities provider & is covered to a level of £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance. The client is also advised to provide their own personal insurance cover - please contact us for details.
9. Complaints
In the unlikely event of a complaint about a Yellow Wood Bushcraft course, the complaint should be made to a Yellow Wood Bushcraft instructor in the first instance so that corrective action can be taken if necessary. Should a problem not be resolved to the clients satisfaction then the complaint should be made in writing to Yellow Wood Bushcraft within 28 days. Yellow Wood Bushcraft will not be liable in any respect to a complaint made later than 28 days from the end of the relevant course.
10. Cancellation by Yellow Wood Bushcraft
In the event that Yellow Wood Bushcraft cancels a course, all monies will be refunded in full. Yellow Wood Bushcraft requires a minimum number of four clients to run a course.
11. Transport, Accommodation and Meals
Yellow Wood Bushcraft can provide a pick up service to and from the nearest railway station to the course location. There is no charge for this service. Accommodation is either in the client’s own tent (or similar shelter) or in natural shelters. All meals are provided (unless otherwise specified), including a vegetarian option if required.

Please read these terms & conditions carefully before completing and returning our booking form. Once a completed booking form has been accepted in writing by Yellow Wood Bushcraft all the persons named on the booking form ('the client(s)') will have entered a binding contract on the basis of these terms & conditions. The term 'Yellow Wood Bushcraft' means 'Paul Colley-Davies trading as Yellow Wood Bushcraft'.
