Terms and Conditions
1. Booking Confirmation
Yellow Wood enters into a contract with you when we confirm your booking. A booking may be made by way of a booking form, verbally, by email, by text or by letter. Confirmation may be made by response to the booking form, verbally, by email, by text, or by letter. When you make the booking, you warrant that you have the authority of all persons in your party to book on their behalf, and will indemnify Yellow Wood against all loss and damage arising directly or indirectly, from any act or default by yourself or any person or animal accompanying you. Bookings are not transferable. Please note that camping atYellow Wood is restricted to the areas designated, and is not permitted in other areas.
2. Services, Features and Facilities
As our site is in the natural environment, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage or inconvenience caused by wildlife. It is necessary to restrict access in the wood at certain times eg when forestry and archery/roving is undertaken.
3. Payment
A deposit of 25% of the total cost of your stay is payable on all advance bookings when booking a tipi, lavvu, canoe or bike. The balance is payable 6 weeks in advance.
When booking camping, all monies will be requested once the booking form (or verbal booking, by email, by text, or by letter)has been received, or, in the case of group bookings for events that are being held by an organisation whilst camping, at a time in the future determined at the discretion of Yellow Wood. If hiring a canoe or bike when camping, then 25% of this hire fee will added to the camping fee.
4. Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your booking, notice must be given by email.
If the booking is cancelled by the client(s) ) the following cancellation charge will arise:
Cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start date - 10% administration charge
Cancellation 3 - 6 weeks before start date 50% of fees payable
Cancellation less than 3 weeks before start date 100% of fees payable
And the client acknowledges that it is reasonable for such charges to be made given the need for Yellow Wood to make preparations for some time in advance.
5. Behaviour
Our site is designed for those who enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the natural environment. In the woodland and surrounding areas, good behaviour is required at all times and quiet after 11.00pm. No radios are allowed. Campfires are only allowed on firepits provided, using wood purchased from us. Driving on site must be slow and cars are restricted in some areas. Rubbish should stowed in closed bags and removed from site by the client, to help us enforce a 'less is more' mentality.
Where the site rules are not respected we reserve the right to refuse admission or require a noise bond or to ask members of a group to leave the site at any time.
6. Amendments
Amendments to your booking can be made right up to and during your visit! We aim to be flexible, but amendments will only be allowed if we have the opportunity to do so.
Note that no refunds will be given in the case of adverse weather.
7. Pricing
Prices are subject to change without notice.
8. Arrival and Departure
You can arrive on site from 9am to 10pm on your date of arrival. Later arrivals must advise us in advance. If your group is on the main camping site the late arrivals camping area may be used after 10.00pm. This is sited at the entrance to the site. We reserve the right to re-book your space if you do not arrive on the first day of your booking.
9. Minimum Age
We can only accept bookings made by people over 18 years, who are then held responsible for the conduct and well being of those named on the booking form, no matter what their age.
10. Dogs policy
With the 'waste' issue, we have decided not to allow dogs. If a large group of people wanted to book the whole bush camp, it may be possible to allow dogs on such occasions.
11. Complaints Procedure
If you like what we do, tell others. If not, tell us.
12. Campsite Information Pack
Once your first payment has been received, your campsite information pack will be sent by email, and any regulations within that pack must be adhered to. The pack should be printed off and brought to the site. If you have not received the current combination number for the lock on the gate one week before, you must contact Yellow Wood. This number is for the sole use of your group and is not to be given to others.
Paper copies are made available for late bookings, but as the site is remote, only those that have pre-booked wil be allowed on site

Please read these terms & conditions carefully before completing and returning our booking form. Once a completed booking form has been accepted in writing by Yellow Wood Bushcraft all the persons named on the booking form ('the client(s)') will have entered a binding contract on the basis of these terms & conditions. If you have any questions about them please do not hesitate to contact us.
The term 'Yellow Wood Bushcraft' means 'Paul Colley-Davies trading as Yellow Wood Bushcraft'.
